Formed in 2011 and winner of the Cinna Prize in 2013, the duo signs "a contemporary design, inspired by the biggest names in design", specifies Mathieu Girard. By joining at the level of the armrests, the curves of the legs and the backrest evoke the round and enveloping shapes of the Eames couple. While the tubular aspect refers to Jean Prouvé for the sake of functionality and adaptation to industrial processes.
With David Haymann, the founder of the eponymous publishing house, the young designers, graphic designers and interior architects drew from the Gabriel catalog fabrics with "pop colors like pinkish purple, brick red or mustard yellow". "Bright and dynamic tones, accentuated by the seams which draw reliefs and new shades" thanks to the play of shadows and light.
