Oscar is a tribute to Oscar Ribeiro de Almeida de Niemeyer Soares more commonly known as Oscar Niemeyer the famous Brazilian Pritzker priced architect. Renowned for its constuction of Brazilia or the Franch communist party in Paris, Niemeyer, contrary to le Corbusier, who was of a great infleunce loved curves when Le Corbusier prefered lines and right angles
Charles Kalpakian whom we now know for his ability to draw intersections offers us today this elegantly design lounge chair which armrest’s curves are meant to evoke Niemeyer’s work.
